HARTLEPOOL RESIDENTS OPPORTUNITY

This New Year we are launching a new Mentoring project aimed at helping parents & children manage and deal with trauma.

We are looking for adult volunteers to support parents and children in a Mentoring group. Parents and children can struggle after suffering a trauma such as a bereavement, it can have an impact on their ability to cope and their family relationships.

As a Community Mentor you will need to be,
-Available for a weekly sessions starting in the New Year for 6 months
-Excellent communication and listening skills
-Knowledge of the challenges that families in Hartlepool can face
-Resilience- trust is not easy to build and can take time
-Confidence speaking with people from different backgrounds
-Strong organisational skills
-A non-judgemental approach to helping adults

We will provide full training and expenses will be reimbursed. It is beneficial to this role if you can drive.
