GameCon 2017

09 June 2017

Hartlepool College of Further Education hosted their 3rd annual GameCon to raise money for Changing Futures North East over half term! The event was hugely successful and has continued to build on from the achievements of previous years. GameCon raised £662 for Changing Futures which will help children, young people and families across Hartlepool!

Staff from the FE, students and local families attended to play a massive variety of games, both retro and recent! From Xbox to a Flight Simulators, and even the opportunity to experience Virtual Reality thanks to Game Developers from Teeside University, the event was packed full of activities.

Once again GameCon has been a big achievement from Hartlepool College of Further Education, the staff and students. GameCon won the North East Best Youth Project at the POSBO awards for the event in 2016 and we hope their work will continue to be recognized in the future! We’re so proud of everything that has been accomplished and are very grateful that the event continues to support our charity to help make a difference to people in Hartlepool. We’d like to express our thanks to the Ambassadors, students and staff as well as all those who attended for making the event so successful!
