John has volunteered as a mentor for 13 years , over 2000 hours of help provided to many local children and young people! Through building a supportive and committed positive relationship with each individuals, John has helped more then 13 children achieve their aspirations and make positive changes in their lives!
Last nights mentoring supervision session was a celebration of everything John has given to our group and charity. A speech delivered by John was moving and everyone’s reaction was testament to what a lovely guy he is and the impact he has had within our charity. John was a dedicated volunteer for over a decade and as well as supporting many children he also made close bonds with the other volunteers and always made new volunteers welcome and settled.
Volunteering both in local schools and our mentoring groups John is an inspiration to our staff, board members, volunteers, children and families. You will be dearly missed John and we wish you all the best for the future from everyone at Changing Futures North East.
